Me
Hi. As you now know, my name is Mike. I was born August 22, 1978 in New Bern, NC, birthplace of Pepsi-Cola. I have lived in the area all of my life. I like it although it is lacking in the city life. It has a rich history though as it is the second oldest city in NC, named after it's mother city, Bern, Switzerland. The population here is a whopping 22,000. Unfortuanately for me, too many people like to retire here.

I grew up aroung sports and I love the outdoors. I started playing baseball when I was 6 and played until the end of high school. I played the Trombone throughout junior-high and high school. Each year I tried out for All-District and All-State bands and am proud to say I took my seat in every District band as well as 3 times for All-State Band, including 1 1st chair position.

I obviously did not focus much on after school education, as I got married 1 week after I graduated. My grades were great but I did not know what I wanted to do. Plus, I had a baby on the way. Aleksander was born in October 1997. My wife and I bought a house in December of that year and moved in shortly after with the new baby. We have been here ever since, although recent events have prompted me to believe that 90% of the people on this road are crackheads. My next-door neighbors are the best surprisingly. He owns a Camaro too!
My bike was stolen a few weeks ago, so a move is imminent.

My interests are golf, paintball, bowling and I try to surf during the summer. Notice I said TRY! Other things I like are cars of course, music, and I
hunt as well. My favorite music artists are the Smashing Pumpkins as I was hooked after hearing the album Siamese Dream back in the day. Other bands of interest are Filter, Weezer, and Deftones as of late. I love the sun and summertime.

I work at TRW as a machine operator. It is decent money considering, but definately not what I want to do. I still haven't figured that out. I do have a newfound interest in computers, so who knows?

I will just have to see where the future leads me, but in the meantime I am trying to enjoy life.

The Inspiration Behind My Site
As I mentioned before, my Camaro told me to do it.
I fell in love with Corvettes ever since I can remember. My dad bought a brand new Orange 1975 Vette. He had to hitchike with 4 grand in his pocket. That was roughly half the price of a new Vette then. Kinda cool I think. I told him to keep it for me but he sold it in 1985 for an old Ford pickup, which is now broke down. Smooth move.
Anyway, I was promised a Corvette when my mom graduated and got a job. The news of the upcoming baby kicked the idea of a two seat Corvette out the window. That is where the Camaro steps in. I saw it in New Bern for sale. So we stopped in to test drive it and I had to have it. I got it a couple of months before I graduated. Even back then (may 1997) I used to tell people I was going to put an LT1 6-speed in here to pay tribute to the Vette. Never did I think that would come true.
